    Scott was born in Tennessee in 1976.  He was raised in North Carolina, where he began his acting career in 1997 at the age of twenty.  Scott's first role was in the Merchant/Ivory production of "A Soldier's Daughter Never Cries," opposite Leelee Sobieski.  He later won the role of Jim Hickam in the critically acclaimed film "October Sky," opposite Chris Cooper and Jake Gyllenhaal.  The momentum continued as Scott landed roles in "Remember the Titans," and "The Patriot."  Scott later worked opposite Taye Diggs in the MGM release "New Best Friend," followed by the role of Buckner opposite Treat Williams in "The Substitute: Failure Is Not An Option."  He has also guest starred on tv shows such as "Star Trek:Voyager," and "Navy:NCIS."  Scott later wrote and produced his own feature film titled "Little Chicago."  The film also stars veterans of the business Earl C. Poitier (Drumline, Remember the Titans) Chris Coppola (Beowulf, Polar Express) and Adrian Paul (The Highlander - tv series).   "Little Chicago" released worldwide on November 13, 2007 from York Entertainment and is available at Amazon.com.  Scott also appeared in a national Chevy Truck campaign along side football great Howie Long in the fall of 2007.  

    Next, Scott can be seen in two upcoming feature films, the soon to be released thriller "Dismal," as well as his recently wrapped drama “In/Significant Others.”
